With Hariraya mood around people prefer eating out outside than do their own cooking at home. Spend a bit more and right in front of u are variety of food that suit your taste.
The tables were numbered. Some prefered hanging around first before joining ques for food. U don't worry "inda ampit" or miss the food. The profesional caterers knew how much to serve.
Rest after big sungkai. Some rush for the Maghrib prayer. That was a better arrangment than zooming out for home. With traffic jam outside, chances were, u miss the prayer.
Last minute shopping after sungkai. Most shop opened until midnight. People prepared early but as usual there were thing to be bought at 11 hours. Those who missed sending clothes for tailoring need'nt worry. Ready-made baju Melayu were readily available.

Moon sighting for 1st Syawal was on 30th Septermber. Moon was not sighted. So Muslim in Brunei had to continue fasting. Not like in gerai Ramadhan where gerai owners already faded away preparing for Hariraya, bersungkai at hotel restaurants and café still attracted a lot of customers. Surau are available at hotels for Maghrib prayer. After prayer there was a rush again for last minute shopping. Most shopping centres extended there services to almost midnight.
