INTNL CONFERENCE ON MALAY CULTURE & SOCIETY

Saya dihubungi oleh Penerbit RTB pada 2hb November 2009 untuk menulis skrip rancangan Tinjauan mengenai International Conference on Malay Culture and Society yang bertemakan Memertabatkan Budaya Melayu di Era Globalisasi anjuran Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) dengan usahasama Universiti Kebangsaan Singapura dan sokongan Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah pada 3hb hingga 6hb November 2009. Dua perkara yang terlintas di kepala saya pada masa itu. Pertama skop persidangan. Yang kedua visual bagi melengkapkan rancangan ini. Sudah tentu dalam persidangan akan berlaku pembentangan kertas kerja. Itu saja. Membuat rancangan sekadar memperlihatkan tokoh akedamik menyampaikan kertas kerja tidak akan menghasilkan rancangan yang baik. Perlu ada visual. Untuk membubuh visual pula perlu mengetahui skop perbincangan. Maka itu saya perlu mendengar pembentangan kertas kerja.

Dalam kata alu-aluan VC Universiti Brunei Darussalam menyebutkan persidangan ini merupakan wadah penting dan berkesan untuk mengongsi hasil penyelidikan dengan masyarakat dan mengumpulkan perspektif yang berbeza daripada pakar-pakar dari dalam dan luar negara bagi meningkatkan lagi profesionalisme dan intelektualisme dalam pelbagai bidang dan isu.

Empat orang pakar menyampaikan ucaptama. Mereka ialah
