RTB City


This is new Radio Television Brunei Website Logo known as RTB City. Inaugurated today by Prime Minister's Permanent Secretary
.

Some important notes taken by UBD lecturer on radio, television, repositioning of RTB 1 and RTB 2 services, including RTB website which was launched in 2000 and Radionet service on 2001. Audio and Video Streamings allow Internet users to view RTB News.

Permenant Secretary Pg Dato Paduka Haji Ismail Mohamad stressed on the good usage of the Internet. Brunei Darussalam he said has certain law with regard to wrong usage of the media. The Akta Penyiaran (Penggal 180)- Kenyataan Tata Amalan Internet (Februari 2001), Kenyataan Penyiaran (Lesen Khas ) 2001 and Akta Penyalahgunaan Komputer introduced in 2000.

Acting Director RTB Haji Osman Mohamad said inauguration of RTB City is another step to reposition the RTB website so as to at par with tradational media ie radio and TV. The launching is not only to streamline RTB with development of ICT and new media, but also to explore the Internet potentials as a multimedia platform that can offer contents and interactive programmes.

This is the starting point of a new RTB website, RTB City. More hard work to be focus on to put the department at par with other world government broadcasting stations.
